East Lansing shares a common border with Lansing

and is known mostly as the home of Michigan State

University, whose stately campus spans a good portion

of the city limits. The city's main street shopping

district borders the MSU campus on the north and is

known for its many unique shops and restaurants

which serve the student and local population.
